Osipovichi, Belarus | Project "Preservation of the Osipovichi district natural complex" is aimed at consolidation of efforts of local ecological organizations and cooperation with local authorities and scientists. First result of the project is collection of materials necessary for creation of Svisloch-Berezina natural reserve.
The main focus is given to secondary school children who along with scientists actively participated at ecological expedition, local and national ecological seminars.
Different social groups of Osipovichi town were involved in discussing and working out of ecologically sustainable directions of the region development. |

Main activities: weekly digest on trans- border cooperation, web-site, Forum for 4 countries.
Expected outcome: collection of information on potential partners in 4 neighboring countries, expansion of possibilities for Grodno region NGOs to establish cross-boarder cooperation, promotion of Belarusian NGOs, public awareness increase on CSO role in the development |
"Harmony" NGO, Gomel
yaus@mail.ru | “Business-alternative or development of private business among the women living in a zone of radio-contamination" - a pilot project for unemployed and needy women of the Gomel region facing long-term consequences of the Chernobyl nuclear plant catastrophe. The purpose is to increase knowledge of entrepreneurship principles, promote self-realization, creation of new jobs.
60 women from 5 contaminated districts were trained during series of courses “How to start private business” . Club of business woman was created with an objective to provide information and assistance related to economic, legal, psychological aspects of business activities. |
Smorgon Public Association of the parents having many children
taneev@mail.ru | "Distribution of experience of Regional Public Club as a mechanism for local community development" Project. The purpose is to strengthen and develop existing in villages Godishki and Rakovey (Grodno region) public village clubs, as efficient mechanisms for coordination of efforts of the representatives of local communities in revealing and decision of local problems.
As a result 40 village women became active members of public village clubs, 80 women received training on: female leadership, successful dialogue, economic development, gender equality. |
Mogilev Women Center for Assistance and Self-Education
gvozdeva@krug.unibel.by | "Actualization of the Volunteer Movement to Solve Social Problems
based on the experience of the "Volunteer school" for disabled children". The project aims promotion and expanding of volunteer movement as a form of overcoming of essential social problems.
600 young people in Mogilev region were involved in the project. Special emphasis was done to 160 disabled children in expanding their possibilities for social adaptation. |
The Republican public association "Women response"
| "Way to success" Project aim is to involve women in active social life by means of creation of 13 initiative groups in all six regions of Belarus.
More than 400 women from all the regions of Belarus benefited from the project at 3 seminars, 13 round tables. This is the first step within the respective communities on the way to active participation and community development, establishing dialogues at different level |

"Green region" NGO, Brest,

Expected results: decreasing of the total volume of water consumed by the plant, Decrease of the level of contamination of wastewater, decrease of consumption of the commercial reagents for wastewater purification.
Improvement of environment in the city of Brest and its surroundings as a result of considerable improvement of the environmental parameters of functioning of the plant “Brestmash”, sanitation of the transboundary river Zapandy Boug. The project demonstrates the positive effect of local communities involvement in solving of environmental problems through effective cooperation between enterprise management, NGOs and local authorities. |
Youth educational center "Fialta"
fialta@tut.by | "Throughout cooperation to Partnership" Project sets the goal of enhancing inter-sectoral dialogue between NGOs, civil initiatives, state administration, and business structures, aimed at resolving urging issues of local communities.
As a result of activities in 7 small towns (Pruzhany, Lepel, Volkovysk, Mozyr, Soligorsk, Bobruisk) issues of importance to all structures and groups were identified, common strategies of solving these issues were identified. |
Public Association "Doctors' Union, Mogilev

Doctors, teachers, workers of culture were involved in series of thematic programs. Materials for distribution on experience of cooperation of local authorities and public initiative groups in neighboring counties were prepared and effectively used. |
