BiH PIC/Library was opened, for the first time, in September 2000. Four years later, in September 2004, it moved to a new location at the Faculty of Economics (E-NET/GDLN Center).

The aim of this move is to provide public and free access to a rich source of research, analysis, and data collection undertaken by the World Bank on development topics in the form of publications, reports, project documents, video conferences, events and trough Internet access.

Some of the outreach activities include, but are not limited to:

  • Expanding PIC reach through establishing and maintaining cooperation with libraries of other faculties of economics (Banja Luka, Mostar-West, Pale, Tuzla);
  • Expanding PIC reach through establishing and maintaining cooperation with university and city libraries (Mostar-East, Bosanska Krupa);
  • Publishing Monthly Newsletter (hard copy) with information about new titles, events, launches of reports and publications, as well as other PIC/Library related issues;
  • Publishing PIC Information Card where clients can find some basic information’s about the PIC/Library and provide feedback/suggestions;
  • Distributing PIC E-Newsletter;
  • Organizing other WB-related events in the PIC/E-Net Center.
