Seema MANGHEE, Senior Financial Analyst, joined the Bank in 1996. Currently, she is the Team Leader for water supply, sanitation, and solid waste projects in Bosnia and Herzegovina, Moldova, and Ukraine. Prior to this she was involved in municipal projects in Armenia, Croatia, and Georgia and working on urban and water supply and sanitation development plans in Chile. Her external experience includes the Research Environmental Group in Berkeley, CA; the consulting firm of Morrison & Forster in San Francisco, CA; and the Karachi Water and Sewerage Board in Karachi, Pakistan.
Current Work Program: Water supply, sanitation and regional solid waste projects in Bosnia and Moldova; water sector reorganization and technical assistance to the Vodovod Association in Bosnia; institutional strengthening program for the Apa Canal Association in Moldova; and a pollution control project and technical assistance to the water and sanitation sector in Ukraine. Several new GEF projects in those countries are currently under preparation as well as sector work on solid waste management, water supply and sanitation notes and inter utility arrears.
Strengths: Utility management experience; project development, negotiations and implementation; experience in water supply, sanitation, solid waste and environmental pollution control.
