Sandu Ghidirim, Operations Consultant in Moldova Country Office, joined the Bank in 1998. He works primarily on infrastructure and energy sector projects. He has been involved in supervising investment lending projects and relevant sector studies in Moldova. Mr. Ghidirim is also involved in a broader policy dialogue and related adjustment lending operations, provides assistance and inputs for Moldova EGPRSP. Prior to joining the Bank, he worked as consultant for National Agency for Housing and Real Estate Services. Mr. Ghidirim worked as a lecturer and researcher in Moldovan Academy of Public Administration. He has published a textbook in Public Management.
Current Work Program: Energy II Project and Energy Sector Reform Program; First Cadastre Project; Pilot Water Supply and Sanitation Project; Nistru Environment Protection GEF Project; CAS; EGPRSP. He is actively involved in energy and infrastructure sectors policy dialogue.
Strengths: Bank-funded projects supervision and implementation experience; project preparation and related analytical sector activities; energetic and active team player.
Education: Degree in Business Administration and Planning from the Chisinau Academy of Economic Studies (Moldova).
