Sevara Melibaeva,Junior Professional Associate, joined the Bank in May 2005 as an Intern before becoming a JPA in December 2005. She works mainly on transport projects in Europe and Central Asia region. During her graduate studies, she has completed an internship with the UN Energy Statistics Division working on data quality improvement, data validation and time series analysis of the UN database for natural gas production. In addition, she interned with Barents Group of Bearing Point in New York office assisting with ongoing ADB funded project on corporate governance reforms in Uzbekistan and in preparation of a successful proposal for the World Bank funded project on securities market reforms in China.
Education: B.S. in Business Administration and Economics from Greensboro College (USA); M.B.A. from Tashkent State Economic University (UZB); M.P.A. in Economic & Political Development and Policy Analysis from Columbia University (USA).
Languages (other than English): Uzbek (native), Russian (fluent), Spanish (beginning).
