Various development partners, including International Financing Institutions (IFIs), the European Commission, bilateral donors, United Nations bodies, and Non-governmental organizations are involved in supporting these activities in the region. Some recent and planned partnership events include participating in the Environment for Europe process (meeting in Kiev in 2003, and planned in Belgrade in 2007); The Conference on Forest Law Enforcement and Governance in Russia (November 2005); and a Donor Conference on the Caspian Sea (November 2004); and participation in the joint EC-WB Infrastructure and Environment Working Group in Brussels (ongoing).
