Set in the heart of Budapest, enjoying an excellent location on the bank of the river Danube, Sofitel Atrium Budapest offers world-class facilities and services with breathtaking views of the Chain Bridge and the Royal Castle.
A few steps away from the major shopping and business area, the five-star hotel is an ideal meeting place for business, conferences, leisure or pleasure. The hotel is approximately 30 minutes away from Budapest's Ferihegy International Airport (Taxi appr. €20).
A block reservation for 170 persons at Hotel Sofitel Atrium allows most conference participants to stay at the same venue. The costs of accommodation for the participants sponsored by the Organizers refers to the period of March 23-26, 2004, or in some special cases for a minimally extended period depending on flight schedules. The Organizers will not bear the costs of extra expenditures such as minibar, telephone and other hotel services.
The costs of meals which are indicated in the agenda (lunches and dinners between March 23-26) are covered for all participants.
The Organizers have negotiated a special corporate rate (EUR 135) for those participants whose costs will not be covered by the Hungarian Government or the World Bank. This cost includes 15%VAT and buffet breakfast.

The Hungarian Ministry of Foreign Affairs will contact the relevant Embassies in the countries that require visa for Hungary and will inform them about the Forum. The Embassies will be provided with the list of delegates confirmed to attend the Forum. In addition, the World Bank Country Offices in the participating countries will issue official invitation letters to be attached to the applications for visa, if needed. You may contact the WB Country Offices for assistance in visa matters. . |  |  | |  |  | . Given that the official language of the Forum is English, no interpretation will be provided. . |  |  | |  |  | . The Hungarian currency is Forint. (1USD=205HUF; 1EURO=263HUF as of 02/13/04). Credit cards are accepted in most places. . |  |  | .Transportation in Budapest. |  |  | TAXI For within city transportation, it is recommended to use taxis that have a company label on the side of the vehicle. PUBLIC TRANSPORT Daytime transportation services run from 5:00 to 23:00. Night time transportation is provided periodically. Travel is allowed only with pre-purchased tickets sold at terminals, news-stands and vending machines. Fare: HUF 120. Tickets have to be punched on buses/trams and are valid only for a one way uninterrupted trip (change of means of transportation requires the purchase of new ticket!) . |  |  | .More About Budapest: The World Famous Spring Festival. |  |  | . . By sheer coincidence, the annual world-famous Spring Festival of Hungary will occur during March 19-April 4, i.e. embracing the period of the Forum. The Spring Festival offers nearly two hundred programs held at almost sixty locations. Music concerts will be performed by famous orchestras and conductors from all over the world.
