Lenka Mikovcova works with the office of the Vice-prime minister for economics of the Czech Republic since 2004. She is the head of Human resources development department as well as executive secretary to the Council of the government of Human resources development. In 2005 she was responsible for drawing up a Human resources development strategy for the Czech Republic, which is one of the priorities of the government’s “Growth Strategy”. This document was focused among others on development of adequate framework needed for successful Research and Human Resources Development in the Czech Republic.
Prior to joining the office of the Vice-prime minister for economics, Lenka worked with Institute of Czech Industry Confederation. As a Deputy Director she was responsible for product development of various seminars and projects related to human resources development co-financed from Structural funds of European Union. During that time she established a Corporate Social Responsibility Center of the Institute.
Lenka holds a Masters degree in Public Administration and Regional Economics from University of Economics in Prague, where she focused on Regional Development and European Integration.
