Comments Sought on the Draft Implementation Plan for the Strategy on Strengthening the World Bank Group Engagement on Governance and Anticorruption The Strategy Strengthening World Bank Group Engagement on Governance and Anticorruption was finalized and adopted by the World Bank’s Board of Executive Directors in March, 2007. This unprecedented preparation process included consultations with more than 3,200 representatives from governments, civil society, donor agencies, parliaments, and the private sector in 37 developing countries, 12 OECD countries and four global forums; feedback was gathered from a wide range of stakeholders through face-to-face meetings and workshops, videoconferencing, and electronic media. We are pleased to see that the consultations held in Moldova last December were referred to in the Strategy. The finalized document and summary reports for all consultations held world wide can be found at www.worldbank.org/governancefeedback. On this website, you can find summary reports in Romanian for the three consultations held in Moldova. The World Bank Group has now prepared a plan for implementing the Strategy’s recommendations and we would like to welcome your comments on this draft Implementation Plan. Please submit your suggestions by September 20, 2007 though the website www.worldbank.org/governancefeedback, or by writing directly to the World Bank Country Manager here in Moldova: Banca Mondială, Str. Puşkin 20/1, 2012 Chişinău, or e-mail: agiertz@worldbank.org . We highly value your ideas and look forward to your suggestions.
