A Central Asia Regional Procurement Workshop for members of Tender Committees was held on October 2-5 in Bishkek. The workshop was organized by the World Bank Office and brought together 52 participants from four countries.

The goal of the event was to build capacity of governmental servants involved in tender committees in Tajikistan, Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan and Kyrgyz Republic, and representatives of supreme audit institutions in procurement of goods and works and selection of consultants. The issues discussed included the project cycle, procurement methods, guidelines, and issues related to the evaluation of bids and proposals.
