Online Access

Most of the World Bank's information and data, including publications and reports, are available for free download or read access. Please check the sources listed below:

  • InfoShop is the Bank's online bookstore, located in Washington DC, USA.
  • WDS Documents & Reports is a database of almost 65,000 Bank's documents, including publications and researches.
  • e-Library is one of the most comprehensive collections in the area of social and economic development.
  • Jolis is The Library Network, a group of libraries and resource centers supporting the work of the World Bank Group and IMF. JOLIS is the starting point for research and access to the library materials.
  • Ves Mir Publishing House is the official World Bank's publications distributor in Russia.

Our Information Center provides public with access to information on the World Bank. We can help with general questions about the World Bank's documents and activities in Russia.

Services include access to:

  • General information on the World Bank and its activities in Russia.
  • Project documents for consultation (according to Disclosure Policy).
  • World Bank publications and CD-ROMs for consultation. Most of the World Bank's publications both in Russian and in English could be purchased through our official distributors in Russia or at the Bank's Online Store (located in USA).
  • PC workstations to access The World Bank online resources and multimedia products.
  • Help desk is providing consultations through e-mail or phone inquiries.

Development Knowledge Centers and libraries

In order to enhance the effectiveness of the knowledge dissemination and sharing, the World Bank proposes the establishment of Development Knowledge Centers to provide access to a rich source of research, analysis, and data collection undertaken by the World Bank on development topics in the form of publications and through Internet access.

The World Bank in Russia is partnering with St.Petersburg State University of Ecomomy and Finance (FINEC), which provides access to the Bank's flagship publications, databases and statistics through it's library service. Please refer to the University's website for additional information on access.
