Country Economic Memorandum for the Russian Federation

This draft Country Economic Memorandum is based on the findings of research that was carried out between May and December 2003, and included two workshops and several visits to Russia's regions by World Bank staff based in Moscow. It analyzes the relationship between growth and structural change in the Russian Federation. This Report was led and prepared by Christof Ruehl based on the findings of nine background studies.

Poverty Assessment Report on Russia

The report is based on analysis of the main facets and dynamics of poverty in Russia since 1997. The analysis was conducted over the past two years by Russian and international experts in the framework of the first stage of the program on “enhancing the measurement, monitoring, and analysis of poverty” - a collaborative project by the World Bank, the United Kingdom Department for International Development, and the Russian government team comprising the Ministry of Labor and Social Development, the Rosstat, the Ministry of Economic Development and Trade, and the Ministry of Finance.
