Moscow, February 17-18, 2010 -- The Moscow International Conference on New Partnerships in Global Development Finance is hosted by the Russian Federation, with support from the World Bank and the the Organisation for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD). The objective of the conference is to highlight the growing contributions of new bilateral partners and to promote joint efforts to enhance the development impact of our interventions.
In the course of two days, participants will discuss the role of new partners in development finance, how to best engage with other development partners, including through the multilateral system; share experiences on targeting and communicating results; and deepen our common understanding of the road ahead.
Along with the growing role of sovereign development partners, Russia has also increased its role and this conference will provide an important opportunity to share experiences and common challenges.
