The World Bank Country Office in the Serbia and Montenegro announces its Small Grants Program (SmGP) in 2004. The focus of the SmGP in 2004 was on the projects which build awareness of poverty reduction strategies and poverty elevation opportunities, with the emphasis on the marginalized groups, empower unemployed for job seeking opportunities, with the emphasis on active youth inclusion in labor market, and good governance and anti-corruption. The projects were judged by their capacity to disseminate information, build capacity within the marginalized groups, and their empowerment to deal with poverty, unemployment and corruption. Applications were screened and reviewed by the World Bank staff, and the Grants Committee.
