Civil Association Community- place for everyone, Huncovce

The program supports the cooperation between the Roma community and municipality representatives including the Social Department of District Office and promotes the dialogue between the majority and minority groups. The project includes: (a) education of field  social workers and community leaders, (b) cleaning of settlements with volunteers, (c) inhabitance education and motivation, (d) competition "The cleanest settlements".

Slovak Union of Disabled People (SUDP), Martin

The project will enhance the capacity of the disabled people to influence the decision making process  to create equal opportunities for them.  The program has two sub-components: (a) Translation and publication of the Slovak version of the manual “Instruction for disability policy planning” based  on the "UN Standard rules on the equalization of opportunities for persons with disabilities", (b) Seminars for representatives of the regional SUDP organizations  on disability policy planning and interaction and involvement of local authorities.

Association of Women in Business, BA

Conference on "New Trends in Employment - Telework". Contents of the conference: (a) presentation of current problems in employment in Slovakia, (b) presentation of best practices from abroad (USA, Great Britain, Ireland, Denmark, Austria),  (c) discussion on use of this experience in Slovakia.  The conference proceedings will be distributed to the broad public including Labor Offices,  local administrations and self-governments.

Aid to Child at Risk, BA

Providing assistance for for victims of domestic violence and to increase sensibility of perople and decision makers to the problem. The objectives shall be reached by the further development  of a hotline for victims of domestic violence, a campaign "Stop Violence", training for volunteers, conference and seminars for professionals and volunteers. The project also includes partnership building among local authorities, local governments, police, medical care institutions, partner NGOs and the Ministry of Employment, Social Care and Family.

Beneficium (charitable-humanitarian society of Slovakia), Prievidza

Supporting reintegration of elderly people into social and public life by improving quality of social services. The project includes (a) Launching a "Consulting Center" for elderly people and women providing information on their rights and available services, (b) Partership building among NGOs, government administration and local-governments through organization of a workshop on home violence .

Society of Friends of Children from Children Homes- Smile as a Gift, BA

Improvement of level of care of the abandoned and orphaned children in Slovakia by transforming boarding type children homes into a family like model. The program also includes an international seminar "May every child have a family", where representatives of children homes, special boarding schools, NGOs, the Slovak Parliament and the EU will participate and best practice modells and know how on transformation of children homes will be discussed.

DOMKA- Association of Salezian Youth, BA

Development of web site into an interactive source of ideas, information, methodology and a forum for exchanging experience on projects with involvement of youth work and other volunteers' work. The web site improvement also includes youth work with social groups in danger who want to be for the  benefit of their community.

Center for Independent Journalism, BA

The project focuses on changing the attitude towards prevention and elimination of domestic violence by means of media. The program includes the following components: (a) one-day workshop for journalists on gender issues; (b) advanced monitoring of printed and electronic media coverage on gender issues; (c) competition of journalists to motivate preparation of gender related materials in the media.
