Kyiv, Nov. 3, 2008 — The Day's 10th photo exhibition was officially opened at the premices of the World Bank office in Ukraine.

This Day's photo competition was founded in 1998 during the newspaper's 2nd anniversary of the newspaper. Since then it has become an annual event, one of The Day's most important cultural and educational trends, and its visiting card.

In addition to the traditional topics — "Events," "Personalities," "Ukrainian World," "Life the Way It Is " — this year's exhibition features the "World As Seen by Children" series made up of works submitted by amateur photographers under 18 years of age.

The Day's photo exhibition is more than a festival of photos. It is also an important event in Ukraine's cultural life.

This contest mirrors diverse Ukrainian society and imperssively illustrates the lives of everyday Ukrainians for whom the World Bank is aiming all it's activities. In November the part of the exhibit will be presented at the premices of the World Bank office in Ukraine.

Welcome to the exhibition! We hope that these photos will inspire all of us to put force many efforts to improve lives of the citizens of Ukraine.

The photo exhibition is located at the premises of the World Bank in Ukraine.
