US journalists interested in interviews, information, and data from the World Bank should contact the World Bank’s North American Affairs Communications Officer, Miriam Van Dyck, at mvandyck@worldbank.org
In addition, the World Bank has media contacts in each Bank vice-presidential unit and in many country offices.
The main World Bank website contains a wealth of news and events about the Bank and its work.
The dedicated News and Broadcast page features the latest updates from the Bank, as well as multimedia presentations.
The Bank’s collection of Issue Briefs on topical themes are also a valuable resource.
Online Media Briefing Centre (OMBC)
Accredited journalists are encouraged to register with the Online Media Briefing Centre (OMBC), a password-protected site where they can receive advance access to Bank news and pose questions through online press conferences. Non-journalists who wish to be informed when new information is released can subscribe to any of the Bank's two dozen free electronic newsletters.
Access to Information Policy
The World Bank Policy on Access to Information is established and revised from time to time to bring even greater transparency and accountability to the Bank's support for the development process; this will, over time, enable more access to information from Bank offices in developing countries.
US Executive Director’s Office
