Public Information Center

Apart from investing through financial resources and technical assistance, the World Bank is transforming itself into a "Knowledge Bank." This has led to the establishment of the Public Information Service, whose role it is to help the public access print or online information about the World Bank's operations and studies in collaboration with the Government of Bolivia, as well as bibliographic material edited by the World Bank. THE ACCESS TO INFORMATION POLICY
In 1994, the World Bank significantly expanded the amount of information available to the public. In 2001, after a review of access policy information, with an extensive public consultation process, the Bank again increased the range of documents available to the public and streamlined access to such information. In 2005, further expanded, including more documents.
