Apart from investing through financial resources and technical assistance, the World Bank is transforming itself into a "Knowledge Bank." This has led to the establishment of the Public Information Center, whose role it is to help the public access print or online information about the World Bank's operations and studies in collaboration with the Government of Colombia, as well as bibliographic material edited by the World Bank. Spanish and English spoken.
The PIC provides advise through telephone, e-mail and fax.

The World Bank's Depository Library Program is a key element in its publication strategy. As the world's largest development institution, the World Bank undertakes large projects of research, analysis, and data gathering. The dissemination of that research is a necessary part of the Bank's objectives, because knowledge and information, to have value, must be shared.
The World Bank depositary libraries in Colombia are:
- Biblioteca Luis Angel Arango
- Universidad de Antioquia
- Universidad Externado de Colombia
