Roberto Adrian Senderowitsch
Country Manager, World Bank Dominican Republic

Roby Senderowitsch holds a Masters in Public Policy from the Johns Hopkins University and a Bachelor's Degree in Education Science from the Universidad de Buenos Aires. Presently he is the World Bank Representative for the Dominican Republic. Previously, he worked at the World Bank as a Senior Institutional Development Specialist for the Latin American Public Sector and Governance Group with a focus on Institutional Development, Performance Budgeting, Change Management and Social Accountability.

Roby joined the World Bank in 1999 as a Regional Civil Society Specialist. In this capacity, Senderowitsch promoted participation and empowerment in Bank-financed operations throughout the Region and organized multi-sectoral policy dialogue and capacity building activities, including government officials, civil society members and the private sector.

Prior to joining the Bank, Roby supported the work of nongovernmental organizations, taught non-profit Management in graduate schools, and spent 2 years as the Field Representative of the American Jewish Joint Distribution Committee, an international relief organization, in Cuba.

He has published articles in books, presented papers in numerous international conferences and has been invited to lecture at the University of Bahia, Brazil, the University of Trento, Italy, and the University of Arkansas.
