Dominican Republic: Electricity Distribution Rehabilitation Project

WASHINGTON, May 20, 2008- The following project was approved by the World Bank’s Board of Executive Directors today:

 

IBRD Loan: USD$42 Million

TERMS: Maturity = 30 Years; Grace Period = 5 Years

 

PROJECT DESCRIPTION: The objective of the Electricity Distribution Rehabilitation Project for Dominican Republic is to: (a) increase the cash recovery index of the three electricity distribution companies in selected areas; and (b) improve the quality of electricity service.
