The Latin America and Caribbean Region of the World Bank is increasing its efforts to help public and private organizations in Latin America to accelerate the rate of eBusiness adoption among micro and small businesses as part of national programs to increase competitiveness. The World Bank is well aware that much of the experience in this regard resides in outside the region- first by better understanding a number of leading domestic programs and understanding the potential for cooperation and outreach to our client countries. In connection with this effort, the World Bank e-Business Initiative for MSME Competitiveness has sponsored this videoconference to obtain a more in-depth appreciation of public programs to accelerate e-business adoption and build a working group of knowledge around this topic.
