Cesar Calderon is an Economist in the World Bank’s Office of the Chief Economist for Latin America and the Caribbean. Prior to this he worked in the Research Department at the Central Bank of Chile and the Central Reserve Bank of Peru. He obtained a Ph.D. in Economics from the University of Rochester in 2002. He has published in the area of open economy macroeconomics and growth. He is currently doing research on the workers remittances, macroeconomic policies, volatility and growth, real exchange rate misalignments.
