Tito Cordella is lead economist in the Office of the Chief Economist (LCRCE) where he manages the Regional Study Program. Before joining the Bank, he
worked at the International Monetary Fund alternating operational and research activities. He has published widely in trade, banking and international finance, and his current research focuses on how to reform international financial architecture to strengthen financial stability in emerging markets and aid effectiveness in poor countries. He previously taught at Pompeu Fabra University in Barcelona and at the University of Bologna. An Italian national, he holds a PhD in Economics from CORE, Université Catholique de Louvain, Belgium
