Public Sector Management and Reform

Public sector management has important consequences for men and women. The World Bank, with support of GENFUND, is ensuring that the Bank's Public Expenditure Reviews—a key analysis of public sector fiscal performance—include gender analysis. Moreover, judicial reform projects are important because Women's legal rights in the region are often neglected due to gender stereotypes or prejudice on the part of judicial personnel. These attitudes especially affect due process in cases of rape, gender-based violence, divorce and determination of child support.
