Mexico XVII AIDS Conference - LOGO

The XVII International AIDS Conference (AIDS 2008) in Mexico City, Mexico, August 3-8, 2008, is an unparalleled opportunity for those who work on AIDS to explore the latest developments in HIV science, policy and practice. 45 World Bank staff will join 24,000 delegates to learn from others, and share information on Bank support for HIV and AIDS responses.

The Bank is organizing 13 sessions and has 13 poster exhibitions in the Program. An Advance Publication Launch of "The Changing HIV/AIDS Landscape ~ A Compendium of Selected Papers Prepared in Conjunction with the WB Africa Region’s HIV/AIDS Agenda for Action 2007-2011" will take place on Monday at 6.30pm. The Bank, with other partners, is also supporting an exciting launch announcement by former President Festus Mogae of Botswana at 5pm on Tuesday August 5th. Our staff are also participating in the IAEN Pre-conference meeting (August 1-2) and the 3rd LAC Technical Meeting on STD, HIV-AIDS & Disability (August 1-2)
