Karla, a Mexican national, graduated from Harvard, with a Masters degree in Public Policy. Her policy area of concentration was Business and Government, and her methodological area of concentration was Empirical Methods and Program Evaluation.  Karla also holds a BA in Economics from ITAM.  Before Harvard, she worked at the Ministry of Social Development (SEDESOL) in Mexico in the Vice-Ministry of Prospective, Planning and Evaluation and in the Center for Public Policy in ITAM.  Karla joined the unit in 2005 and she works on poverty, inequality and social policies.
