Indu John-Abraham holds a Bachelor’s degree in International Affairs from George Washington University, and a Master’s degree in International Relations from Johns Hopkins University School of Advanced International Studies.  She worked overseas with Catholic Relief Services in Armenia and the Dominican Republic focusing on the development and management of civic participation and education programs.  She joined the World Bank in 2003 and has provided operational and analytical support to various groups within the Latin America and Caribbean region.  She has authored numerous publications and policy notes including Infrastructure for Improved Rural Livelihoods, Managing for Results: Civil Society Monitoring in the Dominican Republic, and Supporting Empowerment Approaches in Programmatic and Adjustment Lending.  She is currently working with the Team for Statistical Development in the LAC Poverty and Gender Group.
