Gita Beker Busjeet Junior Professional Associate Latin America and the Caribbean Region The World Bank Group

Gita holds a BA in Economics and Politics summa cum laude from the University of Sussex in the UK and an MA from the Johns Hopkins School of Advanced International Studies where she studied International Development in Latin America. She was raised in the Netherlands and is a Dutch, Mauritian and USA national. She has worked in Peru and Bolivia on child labor issues with Worldlearning Inc. and at the US Treasury Department of International Affairs.  She joined the Poverty and Gender Unit of the Latin American and Carribean region as a JPA.
