Diana Hincapie graduated with a Master’s Degree in Economics from Universidad de los Andes in Bogotá, Colombia. Her areas of concentration were Political Economy and Social Economy (Economic Development). She also earned a B.Sc. degree in Economics, with a minor in Political Science, from the same university. Before joining the Poverty and Gender Group as a Junior Professional Associate, Diana worked as a Research Assistant at CEDE (Center of Studies for Economic Development at Universidad de Los Andes), particularly studying topics related to Productivity Growth and Factor Reallocation, and on development topics mainly related to child labor, nutrition and education. She also worked as a Teaching Assistant at Universidad de Los Andes, where she taught an introductory course on Colombian Economy.
