Carolina Diaz Bonilla is an Economist, whose work has focused on medium- and long-run development policy analysis at the country level, including economy wide strategies for poverty reduction and in modeling MDG achievement. She worked on the GEP 2005 report on Trade, Regionalism, and Development. Prior to joining the Bank in 2004, she was a Research Analyst in the Trade and Macroeconomics Division of IFPRI and a Research Associate for the Center for North American Studies at American University. She has worked on issues of trade policy, poverty and income distribution and labor markets and the MDGs in Africa, Asia, and Latin America. Carolina is Argentinean and holds a Ph.D. in Economics from Johns Hopkins.
