The Agriculture and Rural Develpoment Network produces several different types of publications:   Economic and Sector Work (ESW): feature original analysis of agriculture and rural development issues that seek to create discussion within the broad development community.
  ARD Discussion Papers: are more informal papers that introduce new topics being investigated by ARD staff and consultants.
  ARD Notes: are 4-page pieces that summarize an issue for a largely non-specialist audience.
  The  Agriculture and Rural Development Series: are officially published by the World Bank. These are manuscripts (1-3 per year) that have a broader audience and are therefore marketed through the World Bank's Office of the Publisher. They are available through the InfoShop, the Bank's e-commerce site, and through World Development Sources.
