Mainstreaming Social Analysis and Safeguards

Mainstreaming social thinking involves:

  • Building awareness of social dimensions of policy decisions
  • Ensuring that social risks are analysed and mitigated
  • Seizing opportunities in the Bank's policy dialogue and its broader portfolio of loans, grants and AAA to generate positive social change

The aim is to incorporate more socially inclusive approaches into policies and operations, build socially accountable institutions and promote more cohesive societies.
