Projects and Programs

The World Bank is working to support 30 countries in the Latin America & Caribbean region by providing grants and low-interest loans for development projects, as well as expert advice and consulting services. Bank lending to Latin America and the Caribbean reached $14 billion in fiscal year 2009. In terms of Urban Development projects, $4.6 billion worth of financing commitments have been provided since 2000 with an additional portfolio of $2.1 billion from other projects that have significant urban components.
