 | The CAS Progress Report assesses implementation of the Bank's FY2007-10 Country Assistance Strategy at mid-term. According to the report over the last two years Honduras has enjoyed a period of rapid economic growth accompanied by reductions in poverty and inequality. Growth exceeded 6 percent over the last four years, from 2004 through 2007. Indeed, growth is now at levels not seen since the late 1970s. |

Este estudio identifica “motores” de crecimiento sostenible y reducción de la pobreza. Los motores se definen como los activos y combinación de activos necesarios para diferentes tipos de hogares en diferentes zonas geográficas para ganar ventaja de las oportunidades y mejorar su calidad de vida a través del tiempo. | Country Financial Accountability Assessment (CFAA)(2004/01/03) jointly prepared by the Inter-American Development Bank (IADB), World Bank and the Government of Honduras, the CFAA identifies the strengths and weaknesses of public financial management arrangements. Honduras: Drivers of Sustainable Rural Growth and PovertyReduction in Central America Vol I Vol II (2004/12/31) The objective of this study is to understand how broad-based economic growth can be stimulated and sustained in rural Honduras. The study identifies “drivers” of sustainable rural growth and poverty reduction. Drivers are defined as the assets and combinations of assets needed by different types of households in different geographical areas to take advantage of economic opportunities and improve their well-being over time. The study is part of a broader regional effort by the World Bank encompassing also Nicaragua and Guatemala. |

Investment Climate Assessment Vol I Vol II (2004/11/27) This report identifies the critical constraints on private sector productivity and growth in Honduras and provides policy recommendations for addressing them. The study focuses on four key areas of the investment climate: (1) governance, (2) infrastructure, (3) innovation, quality certification and labor skills; and (4) finance. The main objective of the report is to provide an analytical framework that can help the government of Honduras develop policies and programs that support productivity growth. |

| Development Policy Review(2004/11/08) The Development Policy Review (DPR) provides an integrated view of the main elements of Honduras’ development policy agenda to achieve sustainable growth and poverty reduction. The objective of the DPR is to support Honduras´ efforts to prioritize and sequence its development policies and to help the broader development community in defining their support programs.  | A comparative analysis of school-based management in Central America (2006/01/01)This paper provides a comparative analysis of school-based management reforms in four Central American countries: El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras, and Nicaragua. The study reviews how the different models have expanded community participation and school decision-making autonomy. It also analyzes the impact of community and school empowerment on the teaching-learning process. The paper also discuss how variations in reform design, country contexts and actors' assets can explain differences and similarities in results. |
