Mexico is covered against natural disasters through innovative plattform called "MultiCat Bond". Mexico is located in a zone where natural disasters can pose a real threat to citizens. The program is designed to guarantee a catastrophe bond issuance platform for protection against natural disasters.

Country Overview- Mexico is the second-largest economy in Latin America. GDP growth averaged 3.8 percent annually between 2004 and 2007. Nevertheless, economic growth decelerated in the first three quarters of 2008 and turned negative bringing GDP growth for the year to 1.3 percent.
