An initiative that seeks to reduce poverty through the promotion of equitable access to land and a better legal security in land tenure through in rural areas, urban and peri-urban areas.

Panama’s economy has experienced an economic boom,with growth in real gross domestic product (GDP) averaging over 8.5 percent from 2004-2007. The Panamanians’ decision to expand the Panama Canal, combined with the conclusion of a free trade agreement, is expected to boost and extend economic expansion for some time.
