Supporting Social Accountability in the Middle East and North Africa Region - lessons learned from political and economic transitions This report draws lessons from countries that have undergone successful democratic transitions with examples from Turkey, Indonesia and the Philippines. It highlights the role of social accountability in improving the work of government, namely delivering public services.
