Jordan- Promotion of a Wind Power Market Project

WASHINGTON, June 26, 2008- The following project was approved today by the World Bank’s Board of Executive Directors:

 

GEF Trust Fund Grant: US$6 million

Program Description: This project aims to increase power supplied from renewable energy sources in a sustainable manner through the private sector and thereby help reduce the level of carbon emissions from hydrocarbon-based power generation sources.
