Ein Gedi, Israel, March 5, 2009 -Â The 5th meeting of the Technical Steering Committee of the Red Sea-Dead Sea Water Conveyance Study Program was held in Ein Gedi, Israel on March 4, 2009. Present were representatives from Israel, Jordan, the Palestinian Authority and the World Bank. During the meeting, the Feasibility Study consultants, Coyne et Bellier, made a presentation on its initial technical findings and outlined several options for further study. There was also a discussion of additional studies that will soon be advertised, as well as consideration of the next Donor Committee meeting that will be hosted by the Government of Greece in May 2009. In their closing remarks, each of the Beneficiary parties stated their continued support for the Study Program and urged that it continue to be implemented on an accelerated basis. The next meeting of the Technical Steering Committee is planned for May 2009 in Amman, Jordan.
