Rate of Decline

The Dead Sea is shrinking at a rapid rate. Its water level has fallen over twenty-five meters in less than fifty years and continues to drop at a rate of approximately one meter per year.

WHAT'S NEW?

The Red Sea-Dead Sea Water Conveyance Study is now completed. Copies of the Executive Summaries of the final reports can be found under the blue "Final Reports" tab on the left side of this home page.
