Israel joined the World Bank in 1954 and is currently a member of the IBRD, IFC, MIGA, IDA, and ICSID. Israel is also a member of EBRD, IADB (including FSO, IIC) and various agencies of the UN. Some of Israel's areas of involvement include:
- A contributing IDA donor
- A member of CGIAR
- Participates in HIPC debt relief
- Memorandum of understanding with WBI and involved in capacity building programs
- Participation in GDLN program
