English Language Students Visit the PIC

| The Public Information Center opens communication channels with external audiences |
On July 26, 2009, the World Bank Public Information Center (PIC), hosted within the premises of the National Information Center (NIC), organized a visit of 30 English Language students to orient them with the facilities offered by the PIC as a resource of World Bank information.
Students were introduced to the different departments of the PIC such as the one-line information services, the reading corner and the library, the Video room and Distance Learning Center. The student’s brief encounter left a positive impression and allowed for much gained information on accessing Bank sources, especially for research students.
This event is one of many that will be coordinated with the NIC and others with the Sana’a University, the second World Bank PIC in Yemen, where previous Bank events took place.
