
One-third of Nepal’s population lives in absolute poverty with little access to basic services such as education, health, and drinking water.

Over 15,600 families have road access for the first time, and 32,000 homes gained water supply, bridges, and sanitation facilities.

• Allow projects to be chosen by the community.
• Provide business training so projects can be sustained without the Bank.
• Place the locals in charge of running their own projects.

Although roads, bridges, and even women’s rights have been improved within 25 districts, nearly 50 more districts still have not been touched by the program. Hundreds of thousands of people still live without proper basic needs.
