| The World Bank's European Vice Presidency provides a secretariat for an independent network of parliamentarians interested in development. It includes European parliamentarians as well as members of parliaments in developing countries. Over the past three years, Members of the Belgian Chamber of Representatives and Senate have participated in the Annual Conference of the Parliamentarian Network on the World Bank. The last annual conference was held in Amsterdam, The Netherlands, on May 23-24, 2005.Â
