  • Which languages are required to work at the World Bank Group?
    English is the working language at the World Bank Group and applicants to any jobs or internships must be able to speak and write it in a fluent manner. In addition to English, other working languages such as Arabic, Chinese, French, Portuguese, Russian, and Spanish may be required.

  • How to apply for a job?
    In Western European offices (Paris, London, Berlin, Brussels, Rome), jobs offers are extremely limited, and internships are no longer proposed.

    The World Bank Group receives a very large number of applications every year. In order to manage this volume we can only accept applications for advertised positions that are submitted through our online application form. Once you have identified a position, you may click on the button «apply now» at the bottom of the page.

  • How should I send my resume and my job profile?
    You first need to register in order obtain a user name and a password. Once in ‘your space’, you will be able to:
    • Create you personal profile and update it any time
    • Keep a history of your applications
    • Use your personal profile to apply to new job offers

      In addition, you will need to provide a number of documents with your Curriculum Vitae ( recommendations, etc.) into one single document that will be attached to your personal profile. You may also ‘copy/paste’ your C.V. in the appropriate field. Only C.Vs. in English will be considered. Please note it is no longer possible to modify your résumé once it has been submitted for a specific offer. Please do not send your C.V., Résumé, or application details through email; such information will not be reviewed.

  • What happens after I have applied online?
    We will acknowledge receipt of your application and start a detailed evaluation process. Your qualifications and experiences will be examined according to the job requirements. If your application is selected, we will contact you to set up an interview. Otherwise, we will inform you that your application was not selected; please note it may take a few weeks before you are notified.

  • How can I update my profile?
    You may use your username and password at any time to open a new session and update your profile as well as your C.V. Please note that updating does not modify the versions sent for previous applications.

  • For students
    • Programs:
      All program for students and researchers (Young Professional Program, Junior Professional Program, Junior Professional Program for Afro Descendants, etc.…) are available on recruitment website.
    • Scholarships and Fellowships:
      The Scholarship Program and the Fellowships Program are vehicles for knowledge sharing and capacity building in the developing world. The Programs provide opportunities for graduate and postgraduate studies leading to master's and doctoral degrees in development-related fields for mid-career professionals from eligible developing countries. WBI supplements its training programs through the management of the following programs.
