| Bank-Netherlands Partnership Program (BNPP)
As part of the Netherlands funding of development cooperation, the Bank Netherlands Partnership Program (BNPP) was established in 1998 between the Netherlands Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the World Bank. BNPP provides financing using a priority setting framework for new global and regional initiatives. It is financed by the Dutch Ministry of Foreign Affairs. To read more about the BNPP, click here.
Bank - Netherlands Water Partnership Program
Established in 2000, the Bank-Netherlands Water Partnership Program (BNWPP) mission is to increase water security through the sponsorship of novel approaches in Integrated Water Resources Management, and thereby contribute to the reduction of poverty. The Government of the Netherlands and the World Bank joined their expertise in Integrated Water Resources Management (IWRM) as partners. With extensive water management experience themselves, the Dutch have a long history cultivating expertise in this domain. The World Bank backs water projects throughout the developing world. Global Development Learning Network (GDLN) at the Institute for Water Education in Delft
The Unesco / IHE Institute for Water Education in Delft, the Netherlands and the Global Development Learning Network of the World Bank started in 2003 their partnership. A Distance Learning Centre was inaugurated in April 2003. With the GDLN center at IHE Unesco state-of-the-art communication technology is combined with internationally renowned knowledge of water and sanitation management.
