Projects & Programs

Each year the World Bank lends around US$20-$25 billion for projects in the more than 100 countries it works with. Projects range across the economic and social spectrum, addressing infrastructure, education, health, and government financial management, among many other issues. Bank-financed projects are conceived and supervised according to a well-documented project cycle. Documents produced as part of the project cycle can be valuable sources of information for interested stakeholders wanting to keep abreast of the work the Bank is financing and for businesses wishing to participate in Bank-financed projects.
