The World Bank Group works in every sector, in almost every developing country and is currently involved in more than 1,500 development projects. Each year Bank financed projects generate between 20 - 30,000 contracts with a total value of about $20 billion.

- Multilateral Investment Guarantee Agency (MIGA): MIGA offers political risk insurance (guarantees) to investors and lenders in order to help developing countries attract and retain private investement.
- ICSID: The ICSID puts here a list of the Bilateral Investment Treaties that Portuguese Government maintains with other countries.
- International Finance Corporation (IFC):Â Â IFC finances private sector projects in the developing world, helps private companies in the developing countries mobilize financing in international financial markets and provides advice and technical assistance to business and governments.
