Working for a world free of poverty in partnership with European countries The World Bank’s External Affairs Europe offices are responsible for the World Bank's daily dialogue with eighteen Western European countries, including Sweden. Sweden and the World Bank work together with other member governments to finance projects, design policies and deliver programs to combat poverty in the developing world. 2008 Annual Meetings
The Boards of Governors of the International Monetary Fund (Fund) and World Bank Group (Bank) normally meet once a year in the autumn for a plenary session to discuss the work of their respective institutions. Read more on the forthcoming Annual Meetings.
ABCDE Conference 2008 People, Politics and Globalization will be the topic of the next ABCDE Conference in South Africa on June 9-11, 2008 which will be held back to back with the African World Economic Forum in Cape Town. More information and online registration here.
World Development Report 2008 Issued on October 19, 2007, the report calls for greater investment in agriculture in developing countries.
